Bonitas BonComprehensive Plan
Bonitas is a medical aid which claims to exist solely for the benefit of their members, ensuring that they make value-for-money and service delivery their top priorities for their members. The Bonitas BonComprehensive plan is especially for families.
Bonitas knows precisely how costly having children can be and that is why if you have more than 3 children, these ones will benefit from free medical cover. But that isn’t all – with Bonitas you get supplementary benefits thrown in such as –
- care during a pregnancy
- oncology and emergency care
- trauma counselling
- dial-a-teacher
What is nice about Bonitas is that they are financially stable with a solvency ratio of 35.5% so this means members have their claims settled timeously. They also have some fabulous plans to offer their members such as their BonComprehensive Plan. This is Bonitas’ premium product. It has been designed to meet every health care need of both young and old, including comprehensive cover for chronic conditions as well as extensive hospital cover.
Bonitas covers life threatening conditions that will require ongoing medication. With the BonComprehensive Plan, no less than 60 chronic conditions are covered and you can also enjoy the convenience of their free delivery of chronic medication through Pharmacy Direct.
Bonitas BonComprehensive Plan – What does it All Cost?
The main member will pay R4 696, and their adult dependent R4 696 while a child’s portion will be R956. A fourth and subsequent child are covered free of charge.
There have been some changes to existing options with BonComprehensive and members need to note that 25% co-payment in threshold has been removed and that medical savings have also been cut by 2%. Other changes are that thresholds have grown by 27%, and this has increased the self-payment gap quite a bit. What is wonderful is that 6 chronic conditions have been added – early Alzheimer’s disease, deep-vein thrombosis, cystic fibrosis, dermatomyositis, HIV/Aids as well as psoriatic arthritis.
Bonitas BonComprehensive Plan – There’s so Much to be Enjoyed
